Operation Homespun

Operation Homespun is being exhibited at the Craft Council Gallery in St. John's... go see it!!!! You could see a skinned hare, tiny fairy clothing, contemporary takes on older patterns, a knitted Repulic Coat, and so much more!
Here's the CBC WAM interview from Saturday morning:

Interesting and informative... and wait for the gem at the end!:)

And Continuing...

I'm also working on Trigger Mitts to fill a few orders...
...This is what potential buyers saw at the Wholesale Show...

We also have a new member in our herd-- the Green Hornet gasped the last gasp until further notice, so after a week of searching and organising, we found this little one... no name yet...

... the most excellent and roomy, race-car-driving-capabilitied Honda Fit. The rear seats fold right down flat, tonnes of space for dogs and gear, and head room for much taller people than we. The best part? 31 mpg!!! (Or, with today's gas price, just over 10 cents per km!!!) Hiiner's got new wheels!

In the Meantime...

While it turns out that spring really isn't here yet...

... and there is more snow in the forecast...

... I am busy getting some of the orders filled from the Provincial Wholesale Show: Whaletail and Iceberg Pendants...

.. bases cut for the 'cache poches' (can be used as candle holders, for dips and sauces, nuts, jewellery, pennies, key tray in your entrance hallway, and so on)...

...first fuse of the Iceberg Series of 'cache poches'... and on it goes. We'll see how this whoelsale-ing turns out in another 5-6 months or so: as usual, hoping for the best!.

Already???

This is happening in the house...

... beautiful!

And I'm hoping for more of this... but for when I can actually enjoy it... like this weekend. Is spring really happening already??? Seems early.

Break-Up

The ice sheets (sort of) that landed a few weeks ago, have now broken up and disappeared in less than a week...

... Relic is quite pleased about this, now he just leaps into the open ocean sans ice cubes (and only needs a cigarette to complete the toothpick look says Hiiner)...

Even the sunsets seem warmish. Early spring after all?

Around This Time of Year...

... many of us get fed up with the cold and the snow, the warmth of spring can't seem to arrive quickly enough.
Hanging out with my buddies, though, helps keep me on track-- they love the white fluffy stuff!

Visits

Two friends I haven't seen for a while...
...Brenda, who dropped by to discuss the Provincial Wholesale Show coming up in a few short weeks, and what I should be prepared for... And, of course, after being greeted (mauled) (lovingly) by Kala, we had the same chat we always do, about what really is a wholesale product, and what isn't... and I still don't seem to fit the bill. However, we will keep forging ahead!

Lori too came out this way. She teaches fine art through the Visual Arts program at the college in Stephenville, and has made me U-O rings... U(h)-O(h)? Perhaps we'll create an additional F-band...

Mornings...

Lights...

...Sun starting to show...

...more light...

...ya' knows it's not cold when the steam comes off the Atlantic!
