Goblet Give-Away

During the sculptural ceramics course that I was in recently, we had a 'Mugging' assignment to do, where we created a mug, and then gave it away to a randomly selected stranger in a public location... we also had to do a wheel-based project, and seeing as I was a first-timer at the clay-and-wheel-and-throwing thing, I decided to keep mine as simple as possible... I tried making goblets. The theme was buraucracy, and my pieces were supposed to make some comment on the top-heaviness of inefficient and unhealthy bureaucratic situations that I think we are all familiar with.

I decided that a beach bonfire was the perfect venue for a disemination of these pieces... not to strangers, though...

Tonu's goblet...

... memme's goblet...

...Totto's goblet...

...Fadder's goblet.
Beautiful evening, nice BBQ, great fire.
